Last week on Liferay’s LIVE Web Events, Emeldi project manager Alistair Oldield discussed to a world-wide audience how Emeldi’s SharePoint-to-Liferay migration tool seamlessly migrates an existing SharePoint CMS into Liferay.His talk covered the details of the source environment, some challenges and roadblocks faced, and the solutions that Emeldi has provided through use of Liferay’s out-of-the box services. The process of migration includes the migration of content, the migration of functionality, web parts to portlets, and the evaluation of realized benefits.By the end of his presentation, the audience was provided with a clear view on how the migration approach from SharePoint to Liferay site is automated, repeatable, and re-useable.
