The Bulgarian Telecommunications Company

The Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTK), operating under a brand name VIVACOM, is the largest telecommunications company in Bulgaria. It was founded in 1992 as part of the separation of Bulgaria’s post and telecommunication services into separate companies, it serves 2.6 million fixed phone lines and employs about 10,000 people. In 2010 VIVACOM added a new service to its portfolio – VIVACOM TV – digital television.

Emeldi consultants have been managing the BTK Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) Program Office, a cornerstone of business change within the company, as it undergoes a dramatic modernization process and prepares itself for market liberalization.

This Program continues to successfully deliver business and systems transformation of BTK fixed lines, and implementation of target BSS and OSS solutions.
The program also involves all aspects of transforming BTK organization and processes and creation of centralized organizational units for day-to-day business support. The management of the CC&B Program Office encompasses 4 projects:

  • Retail billing
  • Retail order management
  • Usage mediation for retail and wholesale
  • Interconnect Billing
